How to repay the loan carefree?

Why is it a good idea to insure your loan? We know that unexpected events can cause financial difficulties. Repaying your loan is difficult in these situations, so it's a good idea to set up insurance to protect you and your loved ones.
In the event of an insured event, the insurance company takes over your obligation to make the monthly repayments. This gives you insurance protection throughout the life of the loan.

Anticipate! Set aside at least a few euros each month, as much as your financial budget allows. And create a financial reserve that can cover 1-2 payments in case of unexpected situations.

Income reduced for a few months
In this case, you have the option of using the Standard Deferment.
Extend the repayment period of your loan to the maximum.
You can use this solution, for example, during parental leave, or if you are on sick leave for a long period of time, or in other cases if you need to reduce your monthly expenses. The amount of your repayment will be lower and you will lighten your budget.

When can you apply for deferment?
- If you find yourself in an unexpected situation - job loss, temporary loss of income. The condition is not to be more than 30 payments late on any loan.
What if you have already taken advantage of the LEX - KORONA deferment?
- Don't despair, you still have Standard Deferment available. Anyone who has not used it more than once in the past can apply for it.
How do I defer my repayments?
- You can use the Standard Deferment for up to 6 months, 2 times during the entire repayment period. This will take the pressure off you at a time when repaying the loan is difficult.
- Although forbearance does not mean forgiveness, it will help you to cope with a more difficult period. The loan will continue to accrue interest during the grace period and you will only pay back this interest when the grace period is over, along with the remaining repayments.

If you have lost your job
If you work in Slovakia, you need a certificate from the Labour Office. If you work abroad, you need a certificate of termination of employment from your former employer. For sole traders, in addition to a certificate from the Labour Office, you need to report the suspension or cancellation of your activity to the Trade Licensing Office.
If you are on long-term sick leave
It is necessary to submit a doctor's certificate of sick leave or a certificate from the Social Insurance Institution. In the case of electronically entered PN, it is necessary to submit a copy of the PN or a doctor's certificate.
If you have serious family reasons
In the case of a death in the family, a copy of the death certificate is required. In the case of serving a sentence, you must have a final judgment and a certificate of sentence. If you are getting divorced, you will need a final divorce decree from the court.
If a baby is born to you
Make sure you have a receipt for your maternity or parental contribution.
If your income has decreased
You will submit a certificate from the Personnel Department.
- If you apply for deferment of repayments, this information will also appear on your credit record.
- Once the deferment is over, you must continue to repay the loan in regular monthly instalments on the due date. The monthly payment will include accrued interest from the grace period.
- Insurance premiums cannot be deferred, only cancelled. If you choose to keep your insurance, you must continue to pay your premiums during the deferment of the annuity payments.
