Manage Your Card Limits

• Whether you use your card for purchases regularly or only occasionally, we recommend setting your online limit to a low or zero value. Increase it just before making a payment. Before going on vacation, set a limit for card payments or ATM withdrawals. You can easily and free of charge change all limits on debit cards via Internet Banking or the VÚB Banking app. Instructions can be found in the manual under the "Setting Limits" section.

Two-factor payment verification with 3D Secure

• 3D Secure provides enhanced security for online card payments thanks to additional verification. Learn more about online payments secured by 3D Secure.

Don’t worry about loss

• In the event of card misuse due to loss or theft (contactless payments up to €50 without a PIN), we will reimburse you for losses beyond the legal limit.

PIN and card information on your phone

Your PIN code is always with you

• You no longer need to memorize your PIN code or change it to something easier to remember. You can view it quickly and easily in the VÚB Banking mobile app. Instructions on how to view your PIN code can be found in the video tutorial on viewing your PIN code.

Pay online anytime, even without a card in your wallet

• Paying by card online is quick and easy. You’ll find all the necessary information for online card payments in the VÚB Banking app. Instructions are available in the video guide on how to view your card details.

Convenient contactless and mobile payments

Contactless card payments

• Simply hold your card up to the payment terminal; for amounts up to €50, you don’t even need to enter your PIN.

Mobile payments

• Pay quickly and conveniently with your phone or smartwatch. You can register your card for Apple Pay or Google Pay easily right through the VÚB Banking app (instructions can be found in the manual under “Adding a Card to Your Online Wallet”).
• You can also pay with your watch or bracelet via Garmin Pay, Xiaomi Pay, and SwatchPAY! or fashionable payment accessories.

• All ATM withdrawals from Intesa Sanpaolo Group ATMs are free with our Visa Inspire, Visa Inspire Gold, and Youth Card. In addition to VÚB ATMs in Slovakia, you can also find Group ATMs in the following countries:

ATM Withdrawals via Mobile

• You can withdraw cash from VÚB ATMs even without a card using your mobile phone—via the VÚB Banking app. In the app, select the amount and generate a one-time code, which you simply enter on the ATM screen. You can find a video tutorial in the video guide on making ATM withdrawals via mobile.

Use ATMs with deposit capability

• Your debit card allows you to deposit cash into your VÚB checking account via a VÚB ATM that supports the deposit function.

Eco-friendly solutions

Card without plastic [PDF, 87 kB] 

• Apply now for a card without plastic and help protect the environment. With a plastic-free card, you can pay using mobile wallets and withdraw money from ATMs that support contactless withdrawals.

Recycling of expired payment cards

• You can return your expired card at any VÚB branch, where we will ensure its proper recycling. You can also deposit expired cards from other banks or plastic loyalty cards into the card collection box.

Cards made from recycled materials

• Plastic Youth Cards are made from used recycled materials.
