VÚB will have new director of corporate banking

VÚB Bank will have a new Executive director of corporate banking division, Vedrana Jelušić Kašić will take up the position. Ms Jelušić Kašić comes from the Croatian bank Privredna banka Zagreb, part of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, where she has been a member of the Management Board responsible for Corporate banking and banking for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and Investment banking area. She will replace Andrej Viceník, who has held this position since 2017, but will continue to work within the Intesa Sanpaolo Group. Another change in the Management Board is the departure of Peter Magala as Chief Director of Operations and IT, which is changing to the Operations and Transformation Division.

Vedrana Jelušić Kašić Andrej Viceník is ending his 20-year tenure at Slovakia's second-largest bank. He has been a member of the Management Board since 2017 and has also served as a member of the Supervisory Board of VÚB Leasing.

He will be replaced by Vedrana Jelušić Kašić, a banking and finance expert with over 20 years of experience in corporate and investment banking, financial consulting, and management. She has been a member of the Management Board of Privredna banka Zagreb (PBZ) since 2021 in charge of Corporate & SME and Investment banking, additionally coordinating activities of PBZ Croatia osiguranje (mandatory pension fund management) and PBZ Leasing d.o.o. in Croatia. She is also the President of the Supervisory Board of PBZ Leasing d.o.o. and is a former member of the Supervisory Board of the Zagreb Stock Exchange and a member of the Economic Council of the Croatian Association of Economists.

Prior to joining PBZ, Ms Jelušić Kašić was the Parter in charge of Financial Advisory at Deloitte Croatia.For more than 20 years, Ms Jelušić Kašić worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), where she held several senior positions including the last role of of the Regional Director for Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, and Slovakia. She is a postgraduate of Brandeis University in the US, attaining M.A. in International Economics and Finance, and a B.A in Finance at the Zagreb Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb. She completed professional training in finance at Wirtschaftsuniversität and Institut für Wirtschaftwissenschaften in Vienna and holds a Non-Executive Director diploma from the Financial Times in London.
