Via the VUB VIAMO service, you can send money from your account for free to anyone who has a functional mobile phone number from a domestic operator (regardless of the phone type) and has a current account maintained at any bank or a branch of a foreign bank in Slovakia.

Setup and activation

Paying with the VUB VIAMO application is quick and easy. You just need to own a smartphone or a tablet running the Android or iOS operating system and to have set up the Nonstop Banking service. You can set up the Nonstop Banking service at any branch.

How to activate and pay with VIAMO?

  1. Download the VUB VIAMO mobile application to your smartphone or tablet for free.

  2. On the www.viamo.sk portal, assign your phone number to your account number at VUB Bank and activate the application.
  3. Select a name from the phone book or enter a phone number directly and enter the payment amount.
  4. Confirm the transaction with a four-digit PIN code.
  5. The beneficiary will receive a SMS message that the payment has been sent. If the beneficiary is a VUB Bank client and is registered in the VIAMO service, the payments will be credited to the account immediately. If the beneficiary has an account at other Slovak bank, the payment will be received no later than on the next working day. The addressee registered in the VIAMO service will receive only a notification of the transfer.

Payments to companies

VUB VIAMO can be also used to make easy and quick payments for goods or services. To enter a payment, it is necessary to know the identification details of the retailer.

Options to pay to retailers

  • A payment by scanning a QR code: in e-shops or upon delivery of goods by a courier you can pay using the VIAMO QR code, which stores information needed to make the payment. You can simply scan the QR code with the VUB VIAMO application and confirm the payment with the PIN.
  • A payment from the mobile web: when buying at e-shops from your mobile device, you are simply redirected to the VUB VIAMO application with the pre-filled data to make the payment. You make the purchase by confirming the transaction with your PIN.
  • A payment from the menu of the VIAMO application: you can make a donation also directly from the menu of the VIAMO application. Select a payment from the list, select the organization and the amount you wish to donate.

How to receive a payment through VUB VIAMO service when you are not registered?

An unregistered receipt will be notified of the payment by an SMS message including also instructions on how to receive the money.

  • On the www.viamo.sk website, select the option to receive the money.
  • Insert your phone number and account number.
  • Confirm the receipt of the payment with an SMS code.

Can I use the VUB VIAMO on multiple devices?

A client can activate only one VUB VIAMO application that is linked to one bank account in a mobile device. If a client owns two mobile devices, for example a smartphone and a tablet, the application can easily be installed to each device. The VUB VIAMO service can also be activated for each mobile number, for example for the same account.

Are payments via VUB VIAMO safe?

PIN code

A payment through the activated application can be made after a PIN code defined by a client during activation has been entered. The application itself is linked to a specific mobile number and an account at VUB Bank, and security elements for the nonstop banking service are used for activation. The application is deactivated after the third incorrect PIN code has been entered. It is very important and in the interest of the client to select a PIN code type other that 111, 1234, etc.; the PIN must not be stored in a place freely accessible to others.

What to do if my smartphone or tablet has been stolen?

If a client lose a phone with the VUB VIAMO application or if it is stolen, the client must block the service in own profile on the VIAMO website through the KONTAKT service of VUB Bank as soon as possible.
