Enter your ID and password into the login panel. If you are prompted to confirm your login with another security element, you can choose among SMS authorization, Token, Mobile Token and Mobile PIN. You will be prompted to change your password after the first login. For more information on logging to Internet banking, see the Internet banking – Login Guide manual.

Security elements

A client uses an identification number and a password to login to Internet Banking. If the application prompts the client to confirm login, other operation or payment, the client can use:

  • SMS authorization
  • Mobile PIN
  • Token
  • Mobile Token

Dynamic assessment of risk

is performed during the whole Internet Banking session. The system compares long-term and current data and decides whether additional authorisation is necessary for individual operations.

Security certificates

The bank uses a certificate issued by internationally accepted certification authority Entrust to verify authenticity of websites. Before logging in, users may verify, if they really are using the VUB Internet Banking website. The web browser will verify the validity of the certificate for you and if everything is all right, the URL address field will turn green. In this way you are protected against attackers who may pass off foreign pages as legitimate pages of VUB. The goal of such attacks is usually to obtain static login data of a client (username and password). The absence of such trusted certificate in foreign, similar-looking sites makes it possible to clearly distinguish such pages.

Communication encrypting

Communication is encrypted using standardized ciphers ensuring a high level of protection for transmission of information in the Internet Banking.

FAQ

What do I need to login to Internet Banking?

  • An identification number (see the contract on Internet Banking) and a password. For security reasons you will be prompted to change your password when you login to Internet Banking for the first time
  • activated SMS authorisation, Mobile Token or Token
  • supported browser.

What web browsers are recommended for proper viewing and use of the functionality?

On the website of the chosen browser, click “Free Download/Download the browser/Download” and after the installation file is downloaded, finish the web browser installation according to instructions.

After I enter a payment, I need a confirmation that the payment has been made. Where can I find it?

A confirmation of an executed transaction can be requested not only for payments, but for any executed transaction that is shown in account transactions. You can print a confirmation of a transaction in Internet Banking at any time. If you just need a confirmation of entering a payment, you can find it in the Pending Payments tab.

It is possible to use documents generated in Internet Banking as a proof?

All electronic documents created in Nonstop Banking by the bank are signed with the electronic signature of the bank and can be used as a legal proof in the electronic form.

What should I do if I am abroad and I have not activated SMS authorization?

In this case the client has to give an official authorization to a person who will set up SMS authorization for the client at a branch. Download the form for granting power of attorney.
