VUB becomes 100% owner of VÚB Leasing
Bratislava, February 15, 2010 – At the beginning of February VÚB bank, member of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, purchased from Prva slovenska investicna skupina a 30% stake in VUB Leasing and thus, became its 100 % owner. Today, the General Meeting of the company also approved changes in the company’s management. Miloš Bikár will become a new Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of VÚB Leasing as of February 15, 2010.
Miloš Bikár will replace the present CEO Martin Rajec in the office, who resigned due to personal reasons. „Miloš has been working in the banking sector already for 8 years. He is not only a competent manager, but a strong leader as well, who is able to bring his efforts to successful end. His arrival will be an asset to the VÚB Leasing management,“ said CEO of the VÚB bank Ignacio Jaquotot. „My primary objective will be to relaunch VÚB Leasing so that the company’s position is close to the market position of VÚB Bank in Slovakia,“ stated Bikár and added that he will make use of his experience in order to achieve the objective. M. Bikár has been the Head of Small & Medium Enterprises department in VÚB since 2006, where he implemented many strategic changes and strengthened the market position of the bank in the segment. In the past, he worked at Large Corporates department in the rival bank and held different offices.
Marian Bonk will become another Management Board member responsible for business. He is a long-term bank employee working in the area of corporate banking and the present regional corporate business network manager of VÚB in Poprad.
