Security of Internet Banking Plus transactions is enhanced by one of the following security elements:
Chip card certificate EUR 500,000/max. daily limit
Floppy disk certificate EUR 170,000/max. daily limit (issued until April 1, 2009)
You can decrease or increase your limit for security elements up to the maximum limit set by the bank at any VUB branch.
How can you set up Internet Banking Plus?
- You can have Internet Banking Plus set up for yourself as an account holder or for your account co-holder by visiting a VUB branch,
- You can set up Internet Banking Plus for your current account or some of VUB accounts containing Internet Banking Plus as a new service or by changing your existing Internet Banking service,
- You cannot have both Internet Banking Plus and Internet Banking set up at the same time.
How can you make the first transaction in Internet Banking Plus?
- You received your personal client certificates on a floppy disk or chip card when you set up Internet Banking Plus
- If your certificate was issued on a chip card, install the chip card reader (CryptoPlus program) from the Installation CD you received with your chip card. Please insert your chip card into the USB reader or standard reader
- If you have not installed certificates of VUB´s Certification Authority yet, please install them following the instructions described under Related Information. The certificates of VUB´s Certification Authority are required for a proper operation of Internet Banking Plus
- Install the signing element
- Log onto VUB´s Internet Banking at https://ib.vub.sk. Guide ist on Technical Information.

How is support of clients with chip cards ensured?
Please download and install the software for smart cards VUB CryptoPlus:
VUB CryptoPlus for 32-bit operating systems
VUB CryptoPlus for 64-bit operating systems

How can you renew validity of certificates?
Validity of certificates that you received with Internet Banking Plus is limited. Thus, it is necessary to renew certificates´ validity before they expire. You can renew your certificates directly in Internet Banking Plus application.
Min. month before the expiry of your certificates, Certificate Validity Renewal form will be displayed when you log onto Internet Banking Plus. After completing and signing the form using your electronic signature, your renewed certificates will be generated automatically.
If you decide to postpone renewal of your certificates, the Certificate Validity Renewal form will appear every time you log onto Internet Banking Plus.
